Roof Void Dusting

(General Crawling Insects)

This is a fine particle dust, similar in size to talcum powder and applied inside your roof space. It is applied in a fine layer over the whole roof space, avoiding exhaust and air-con vents.

  • This dust settles over insulation, beams, hot water and air-con units to give you a barrier from crawling insects such as spiders, ants and bird mites entering into your home from above.

You’d be surprised how many homes and premises we treat that have whole ant nests living in the roof space.

  • This dust is effective in knocking down the immediate adult population and lasting up to 12 months to make sure it also catches any eggs which hatch afterwards as well as eliminating larvae or nymphs.

We use a ‘caution’ label dust in the roof space, however, as it is such a fine dust, a respirator must be worn when applying it in the closed roof space.

It is safe for you to remain inside the home or premises while we are dusting, however anyone entering the space afterwards should be advised to wear a dust mask, gloves and full length clothes to be washed afterwards.

Any pests sprayed directly on the day will perish within a half hour. While anything crawling over the dried treated surface, will take a couple of days to work through the pests system before it perishes.

Pest Specific Cavity Dusting

(Wasps, Ants, Termites etc.)

This is a fine particle dust, similar in size to talcum powder and applied to spaces which have limited access for better coverage and which best suit a dust application. This is generally reserved for confined cavities such as wall spaces through air vents or weep holes.

  • This dust fills the void and then settles over most insects in the space. It is great for ridding ant and wasp nests from wall cavities and also applicable to other crawling insects residing in those spaces, knocking down spiders and cockroaches.

This is also sometimes used when termites are found on the premises. Though this course of action is taken after consideration of the termite species, their location, current feeding habits and after an action plan has been discussed with you.

  • This dust is effective in knocking down the immediate adult population and then having a residual effect lasting up to 12 months making sure it catches any eggs which hatch afterwards as well as eliminating larvae or nymphs.
